Enough with the formalities, let’s skip to some of Silvi’s greatest travel memories. She remembers with glee, the time she zip-lined through the snowy fields of Whistler Village, at Christmas time. “I’m not usually one for the cold weather, but being all rugged up, I didn’t even notice it. Especially when everything just looked so beautiful!” says Silvi.

Opposite in climate, but of similar prominence is the time she stayed in a luxury hotel in Ubud, Indonesia. “The Four Seasons Hotel is close to stunning rice fields and unique wood and silver shops, but as soon as you return to your tranquil suite, you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere!”

With a Brazilian-Portuguese background, Silvi has an intrinsic love for music, arts, dance and food. She loves to help people plan their trips to South America and other Latin-based cultures.

“I have so many contacts in these areas, and heaps of different ideas about how to explore these parts,” she says. “I also love sending people to Central America and the Caribbean Islands of Cuba and Puerto Rico!”

Silvi’s favourite place to get away to is Armacao dos Buzios, in Brazil. It’s approximately a two- hour drive from Rio De Janeiro. She describes it as a small, untouched town with more than 20 beaches to choose from. It’s calm and relaxing, yet has so many different activities on offer.

“It’s a great place to flop and drop between destinations,” she says. “Just imagine: gorgeous little bars and restaurants, serving up the most delicious food!”.

Her travel knowledge is not confined to this continent, however. Ask Silvi where to stay when visiting the Whitsundays or where to get the best seafood chowder from in San Francisco!
