“I love travelling purely for the experiences, seeking out the new, the amazing, the hilarious, and all those fabulous moments that change you,” says Sally at Travel Associates Hampton. “And I love to share this feeling with everyone. Thankfully, I get to do that every day.”
Sally is still as passionate about her job today as she was the day she started, over 16 years ago. In that time, she has sent thousands of clients around the world many times over.
She too has done a lot of globe-trotting, which makes her an incredibly knowledgeable and helpful source of travel advice. “My extensive personal travel experiences mean I am confidently able to recommend amazing destinations or new styles of travel to my clients - sometimes to places they hadn’t even considered.”
Sally’s passport is very impressive. She has visited over 91 countries, from the exotic islands of the dreamy Caribbean to the vast savannahs and wild plains of Tanzania. With experience travelling every single continent - yes, including Antarctica - Sally’s list is long and varied. Some of the most unique spots include the Falkland Islands, Antigua, Cuba, Oman and Aruba - plus many, many more familiar travel hotspots.
So what’s her most unforgettable travel moment so far? “Standing on the South Georgia Islands amongst a colony of 300,000 king penguins all trumpeting and whistling. Absolutely incredible”.
Other travel memories that will go down in history for Sally include “seeing a leopard in the wild at Yala National Park in Sri Lanka” and experiencing the “astounding spiritual beauty of Machu Picchu”.
“A must do for Alaska is dog sledding on the glaciers above Juneau - and you must take the helicopter up, because those views are spectacular,” she adds.
Sally is also passionate about cruising, and doesn’t mind a sunset cocktail on any ship at sea. “I worked on board cruise ships many years ago and have a love for anything afloat,” she says.
When it comes to cruising, Sally is an Expedition Cruise Specialist, Ocean Cruise Specialist, and River Cruise Specialist. She’s also a Premium Airfare Specialist, and a destination specialist when it comes to anything related to Antarctica, the Caribbean, Europe and North America.
