Kate’s a true world traveller, having visited all seven continents.  She has ticked off not only places such as Italy, Canada, Turkey, Mauritius and Egypt, but also the more undiscovered corners of the globe, including most recently, Antarctica.

This kind of travel certainly helped her put together a round-the-world holiday for repeat clients that included stops in India, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Italy, UK and Canada.

“This itinerary stands out in my memory because of the depth and breadth of the destinations chosen – wildly different, all fascinating and stunning in distinct ways,” Kate says.

As for her own favourite travel memory: “I really can’t pick a favourite travel destination. Every trip is so different; be it a Mediterranean cruise with my husband and son, to adventures in Egypt with my sister, to a local cruise with a girlfriend, all have a tremendous impact on your experiences.

“But if you’re twisting my arm, Antarctica has to be the best.  From it's quiet isolation, to vast landscape and soaring snow covered mountains, to the playful Gentoo Penguins and inquisitive Humpback Whales.  It's worth tackling the notorious Drake Passage and taking a literal Polar Plunge.  It will only enhance your life".

Kate is also full of travel tidbits to take your holiday to the next level. “Do some research and find out what local events might be on; try something completely different, such as scuba diving in Egypt; make a reservation for a famous restaurant in a big city (such as The Ritz London or Le Train Bleu Paris); and always book a cruise with an agent who can match you to the right cruise line for your personality.
