“I love the challenge of finding the perfect cruise or perfect hotel in the perfect location, and I love sharing my own travel experiences and insights with my clients so I can recommend some great places and activities.”

It was while living and working in England for three years, and travelling throughout the UK and Europe that Simone discovered her passion for travel. “I loved the travel so much, when I got back to Australia I applied for a job as a travel consultant and it’s what I am still doing today!”

Since then, Simone has completed an Associate Diploma in Travel and Tourism and has ticked off so many countries that it’s hard to keep count – with over 60 to the tally so far. She also has a wealth of knowledge to share when it comes to organising cruises and group tours, having experienced both forms of travel many times over in all corners of the globe, from Canada and Egypt to Vietnam and Morocco.

“Another great experience is having a traditional Turkish bath/ hamam in Istanbul. Cagaloglu Hamami is amazing. You feel like you have been transported back in time with beautiful architecture, as it was built in 1741. You leave feeling so clean and refreshed and relaxed.”

Her tips also extend into the wonderful world of cruising. “My favourite cruise experience was cruising through the sounds in New Zealand. Milford Sound is spectacular – mountains surrounding you, flat clear water like you are gliding on glass and magnificent waterfalls cascading down the mountains.”
