“As a travel advisor, we have the pleasure of booking a wide range of holidays for our clients. One of the most memorable experiences I had was with a young man who had just turned 21 and was rapidly losing his eyesight. He was given a heartbreaking prognosis of having only a few months of vision left, and he was determined to make the most of that time by seeing as much of the world as he could,” she says.
“Being able to help create unforgettable moments for him and figure out ways to turn his dream adventure into reality was a truly special experience. I will never forget it, and I am incredibly grateful to have been a part of it.”
Tammie's background in event planning and her passion for weddings also make her a sought-after advisor for honeymooners. "I am genuinely passionate about planning honeymoons," she notes, highlighting her meticulous attention to detail and ability to tailor experiences to personal preferences. A sports-mad family also means she’s somewhat of an expert in organising holidays to accommodate sporting events.

What is the most amazing experience you have created for a client?
I organised a destination wedding for a wonderful couple who are both hearing impaired. They wanted to create a beautiful celebration for themselves and their 25 guests, all of whom were also hearing impaired. It was incredibly rewarding to ensure that their special day was not only memorable but also accessible for everyone involved.
What is your number one travel tip?
Always embrace the local culture and immerse yourself in the destination. This means stepping outside your comfort zone by trying local foods, engaging with residents, and participating in cultural experiences. Not only does this enrich your travels, but it also creates lasting memories that go beyond the typical tourist attractions.
What are your favourite destinations and why?
Turkey beautifully blends rich history, stunning landscapes, and vibrant culture in a way that captivates every traveller. Whether wandering through the bustling bazaars of Istanbul or relaxing on the sun-kissed beaches of the Mediterranean, Turkey’s diverse offerings create unforgettable memories that keep me coming back for more.
