Darin prides himself on tailoring every single trip to suit his clients wishes, down to the finest detail. He has a passion for creating unique packages, especially in Europe. “Every day I put together a new travel plan to meet a client’s needs. I simply would get bored doing anything else.”

It’s clear his clients are impressed with his tips and all-round service. He has many repeat clients that have stayed with him over the years – including the Scarborough family. “Their youngest was in a stroller the first time I arranged their holiday. Now Sam is 22!” And even though he started out as an advisor in Sydney, he still has clients come up to visit him on the Sunshine Coast. “The Meldrums drop in every year!”

When Darin is the one packing his bags, he can’t resist travelling to Europe. “From Majestic cities to medieval hamlets, the scenery varies so very quickly as you travel around. Europe is amazing for its variety.” Another favourite? Africa, “for the grandeur of the open spaces and its animals”.

Darin first developed his taste for travel on a working holiday to Canada many years ago. Since then, he has ventured as far as Zimbabwe, Luxembourg, the Maldives, Russia and the UAE. He has also taken in the sights of the USA, UK, Vietnam, Italy, South Africa, the Cook Islands, New Zealand and many (many) more incredible destinations.

These days however, he tends to enjoy going on a small group tour if he’s travelling alone, “for the fun, varied experience and to also learn something along the way”. Or else, when he’s travelling with the family, he says it’s all about having a “relaxing holiday”.
