This chapter of her life ignited within her a passion for travel. Rather than return home at the end of her degree, she extended her holiday and went on to explore the USA. Her time spent in America cemented her aspiration to work in the travel industry.

Since then, Blair has arranged countless amazing holidays for clients, from relaxed beach holidays to complicated cultural treks, and everything in between. One particular client who stands out in her mind is a woman who had never been overseas before. Knowing it was a special occasion, Blair secretly organised a suite upgrade for their cruise. “They were completely blown away, and phoned me to say thank you,” Blair says. “They could hardly get the words out between all the happy tears!”

Of all the amazing places she’s been, this tops the list as her favourite. “I’ll never forget my expedition through the sacred caves,” she says. “I wore a helmet with a torch and climbed and swam through an intricate underground maze. I saw where a Mayan community used to live to escape the hunters. Full human bones lay there, completely preserved in the underground cave. It was simply unbelievable.”
