“I love developing an idea into a reality,” she says. “Especially when a client has tried to do something themselves and found it overwhelming - to then be able to break it down, simplify it and take all the stress away. After all, travelling should be a happy place! And I love turning an everyday vacation into something truly memorable.”       

Tanya is a Family Holiday Specialist, Ocean Cruise Specialist, River Cruise Specialist and Self-Drive Holiday Specialist. She’s also a destination specialist when it comes to travelling Asia, Australia, New Zealand and North America.

“I love the USA for the diversity in its landscapes, the cities, the people and the climate,” she says. Her favourite memory from the USA was rolling along the tarmac: “Doing route 66 with a host of added adventures and stops along the way, and getting off the beaten track, it is a trip I’ll never forget.”

Her own travels have enabled her to experience Mexico, Fiji, Thailand, the USA, Vanuatu and many other gems. She’s also a big fan of Japan and recommends a little spontaneity when visiting. “Getting a rail pass in Japan and just picking a random spot to travel to for the day is a fun and interesting way to explore.”

Regardless of the destination, Tanya believes travel is a powerful tool to allow us to gain perspective for when we arrive back home. “Looking at how little some people in other cultures have, yet how happy they are, really pulls you back to reality – and allows you to realise that it’s the people around you and the impact you can have on their lives that really matters in this world.”
