With 19 years in the travel industry, Megan Corrigan’s passion for travel is evident in every journey she curates. With a keen eye for detail, she is a master at designing one-of-a-kind trips, tailoring every journey to reflect her clients' unique needs and desires.

Among her own memorable travel moments, Megan fondly recalls the unexpected joy of being "politely pushed onto a train" by a Tokyo 'train pusher,' being starstruck by Sleeping Beauty at Cinderella's Castle in Walt Disney World, and feeling the exhilarating mist of Yosemite's waterfalls. Recently, she had a blast “screaming my head off with excitement” on a water slide with her toddler on the Gold Coast, proving that Megan’s love for travel is as boundless as the adventures she curates.

Specialising in the USA, she’s visited the country countless times, and each experience is a fresh thrill. “I liken it to being in a movie. I've been there many times, and I’ve always got my next USA trip planned,” Megan says of her love for everything from the hustle of New York City to the scenic beauty of the national parks.

“I think I have just about as much fun planning my clients’ trips as they do,” Megan says. But her passion for travel doesn’t stop with itinerary planning. It’s about connecting clients to the very essence of a destination, and food plays a huge role in that. “I’m a foodie. Wherever you're going, I can tell you where to eat,” she says. From the best food trucks in Manhattan and a must-try bakery in Portland to the top breakfast spot in Seminyak and the finest pho in Hanoi, Megan’s culinary insights bring a genuine, local flavour to every trip, making each meal a part of the journey’s story.

From all-inclusive holidays to cultural heritage tours, Megan’s expertise covers a wide range of travel styles, including family holidays, cruising, history, and premium airfare. But it’s the personal touches that make her trips truly special, whether it’s the excitement of a new destination, uncovering a hidden gem, or finding that perfect food spot.

What is the most amazing experience you have created for a client?

It's hard to pick just one as I try to create an amazing experience for every client! The most recent would be one of my client's first family holidays overseas to Japan. What a first destination! We've had an amazing time planning and had a major focus on things to do for the kids in Tokyo and Osaka. They are visiting DisneyLand and DisneySea, Universal Studios, the Pokemen cafe, the Avatar Robot cafe, and the iconic bullet train system.

What are your favourite destinations and why?

For a little bit of everything, I'd say the USA! The food is delicious, the cars are huge, the scenery is versatile, and the hospitality! Americans are so welcoming and natural entertainers. Then there’s Ubud in Bali; one of my favourite zen destinations to get away for a few days, with daily visits to the massage spa, yoga classes, and rice paddy bike rides. For a quick city break, I actually really love Hobart. It's so rich with Australian history, and so beautiful to look at. I like the colder weather too!

What is your number one travel tip?

Try to make conversation with the locals - whether it be in a tiny noodle bar in Hanoi, at a food truck in Portland, with the cashier at Tesco in London, even your flight attendant! It really is the best way to gain insights into the local way of living. After all, travel is about learning and experiencing different cultures, not just landmarks. And the locals will give you the best tips on local hotspots for food, and bargain shopping!

How do you go above and beyond for your clients?

I ask them what is most important about their trip and make that my focus. I then use my knowledge and connections to generate the best holiday possible. The journey begins at the first idea of a trip away, and I try and make the planning process just as enjoyable as the trip itself.
