For me, expedition travel is the best kind. So my ultimate destinations are places like the Arctic, the Galápagos Islands, and Indonesia. I love getting off grid and feeling like I’m one with nature. 

One of the best adventure-style luxury cruise experiences I’ve helped arrange was an expedition to the Arctic. It included a private submarine dive under the ice, a helicopter tour over glaciers, followed by a land component that had a guided polar bear tracking excursion led by expert naturalists. The clients even had an exclusive dinner on an iceberg! 

 Travel is in my blood, and it brings me alive. Being able to curate bespoke travel experiences for my clients is such a joy. 

I tell all my clients to go with a sense of adventure. Travel can be tumultuous and lots of unexpected things can happen. Adjust your mentality to accept this and your holiday will be much more enjoyable. Also, allow multiple days prior to a cruise embarkation in case of any delays.
