Applying those expert skills in his role as a Travel Advisor at Kennedy & Turner Travel Associates, Paul now delights in crafting itineraries for his clients that are packed with the kind of hidden gems and one-of-a kind experiences he himself loves to experience when travelling.

Paul recalls one such gem on a three-day family stopover in Santiago where they decided to embark on a local tour organised by the hotel concierge.

“Our destination was Valle Nevado, nestled high in the Andes. The scenic coach ride out of Santiago’s urban landscape took us through farmland and up the winding foothills of the Andes. Reaching our target and refreshing pisco sour in hand, the sight of the surrounding snow-capped mountains was magical.”

After indulging in a hearty meal with a side of enchanting mountain atmosphere, Paul and his family capped off the experience with a glass of Carmenère, perfectly paired with local Panquehue snacks as majestic condors gracefully circling for prey outside the restaurant windows.

“It’s travel moments like these that are important to me, and I love getting to know my clients to understand what makes travel important for them. Helping them create their dream itineraries down to the tiniest detail, is what it’s all about” says Paul.

“I recently organised a romantic lunch on a clifftop lookout for a client planning to propose to his partner on a luxury retreat. Knowing which lookout had the best lighting for the early winter sunset and organising a bottle of their favourite champagne through the hotel were just a few of the small elements I put in place to ensure the entire experience was perfect. She said yes, of course. As a Travel Advisor, playing a part of occasions like this and then sharing in the memories when my clients return is so rewarding.”
