She says a lot of her great recommendations also come from speaking to locals directly. “I love speaking to locals to find out where they eat or shop, then going to check that out,” Melanie says. “Often it’s somewhere you’d least expect; down a street with no signage.” Melanie loves travelling because it brings you together with like-minded people. “There is always someone, somewhere who is interested in similar things to you,” she says. “Just like that, you have something in common with a stranger; a love for travelling.”
