We are California dreaming on this trip down the North American Pacific coast from Vancouver, but first comes a stop in delightful Astoria, Oregon, a historic city (the oldest west of the Rockies) with a charming forest setting on the Columbia River that has been captured in many a Hollywood movie. After a day at sea enjoying all the comforts of life onboard, we sail into San Francisco, to be greeted by the beautiful panorama of the Golden Gate Bridge arching above the glittering bay. Then it's southward to Monterey, with its famed aquarium, artsy Cannery Row and Old Fisherman's Wharf, where you can watch the seals and sea lions while enjoying a bowl of clam chowder. The beaches and gardens of Santa Barbara beckon, followed by chic Santa Catalina Island for cocktails overlooking the ocean, before our voyage comes to an end in San Diego.
