For majority of us, when we feel tired and run down, we seek out a bath or a nap. Instead, Jenni escapes to gorgeous Luang Prabang in Laos. It’s a stunning world heritage location, where you’ll find monks carrying out their almsgiving procession, while a bright red sunrise takes shape in the background, and the Mekong River gently trickles by. It’s no wonder visiting here encourages her to take a deep breath and relax.
This has to be one of Jenni’s greatest skills – marrying a travel experience with a distinctive mood or intention. As a loyal reader of the Anne of Green Gables series, she visited the beautiful island of Prince Edward in Canada to bring the story to life. With a background in music and dance, she sought the opportunity to see a live Swan Lake performance at the beautiful Markiinsky Theatre, in St Petersburg, Russia. And she relished her love of classical music, when she listened to Mozart and Tchaikovsky in the Vienna State Opera House.
Through working with Jenni, your overseas trip will begin to take on a lot more meaning. Her passion for travel is contagious and she will encourage you to dig a little deeper, to ask yourself: what excites me? It’s a chance to really pursue a special travel experience, not just tick off another destination.
Speaking of which, she has personally visited more than 60 countries, from the southern delights of Uruguay, to the northern wilderness of Finland. One of her fondest travel memories is the year she spent as an exchange student in Costa Rica. She adored the people, their way of life and the Spanish language. “I learned so much about myself while I was over there,” Jenni recalls. “It never ceases to amaze me, even 25 years on, how much that year in Costa Rica influenced my life.”
What’s one of your special travel memories? If it’s taking you a while to recollect a time you truly felt invigorated or affected by an overseas experience, it’s time you visited Jenni Davis. She’ll help you reach a travelling crescendo!
